Characters

Max Green

Max is an energetic, outgoing 11-year-old who until recently had everything.

He was popular at school, good at sports and showed talent in music and academics. He lived on a wide treed street in idyllic Cucurtown, where the streetlights clicked on at dusk to reveal happy homes nestling happy families all sitting around glowing hearths. Life was good. Then Teresa and Goliath showed up and everything fell apart. Max's new siblings are apparently perfect and they're remarkably self-sufficient. For a while he was disoriented and, for the first time in his life, actually jealous.

Never mind. Max is a do-er; a positive thinker and a pint-sized force to be reckoned with. No alien from this galaxy or any other is going to disrupt his fun life, change his positive outlook or walk into his cozy home and use it as Home Base for stealing his planet!

He is voiced by Shannon Conley.

Loom Prxbtlyp / Teresa Green

Teresa Green is, upon first inspection, a perfectly polite, neatly-dressed, well-behaved pre-teen girl. She doesn't interrupt her elders, she's a straight-A student - she's every teacher's dream. That's because she's actually the alien creature called Loom Prxbtlyp, dedicated to taking over the earth and enslaving all its inhabitants. She chose her disguise of cute 12-year-old Teresa based on characters on a movie billboard across the street from the Greens' house. She got the name for her putative brother, Goliath, off a dog's ID tag. Immaculate, polite, unemotional, Teresa treats earth and all of its citizens like an ant farm beneath her magnifying glass. She has trouble grasping the subtleties of human nature. She is a logical being and humans act illogically. Teresa/Loom's job is to send back nightly reports describing us to the orbiting Kemii to speed up the impending invasion. But her analytical approach always misses some subtlety of human behavior. Like when she says humans own dogs to give us exercise in bending over to pick up poop.

She is voiced by Onalea Gilbertson.

Ran Strb / Goliath Green

Is actually a 380-year-old Kemii alien named Ran Strb. Ran was nearing retirement when he got this assignment and thought the job would be a drag. But when he found out he got to play an irresponsibly wild small child he decided to go with it.

Goliath doesn't speak. Not in any earth languages, anyway. So he never has to explain to his new parents why he's drinking the aquarium water or seeing if a hallway banister will go in one of his nostrils and out the other. Goliath's body is heavily clothed and he has a mop of pumpkin-orange hair, so we see only a portion of his face. Just as well, since he has a long vegetal tail with a mind of its own (it taps him on the shoulder and hides) and he can extend a slimy pseudopodal green stalk-body on which he elevates his kindergarten-sized self to an intimidating 20 feet high.

His unintelligible voice is provided by Pietro Ubaldi.

Victor Green

Victor Green is a loving if somewhat distracted father and a doting husband. He has the ambition to do great things for his family and the drive to make those things a reality. He and his son Max share a positive outlook, a solid work ethic... and a slight tendency to be unrealistically optimistic.

Victor is a mid-level executive at Cucurtown's biggest business, Cutlery Land. Victor's son Max and wife Laura are enthusiastic cheerleaders for Victor's ideas... although Max is growing the common sense that is making him wonder if his dad is on the right track.

He is voiced by H.D. Quinn.

Laura Green

Laura Green loves all her children, whether natural or online mail-order. She also loves gardening. Laura has come in Second or Third, five of the last ten years with her gourds and melons. This year, with the sudden and unexpected spurt in her garden's growth, she's certain she'll have a prize-winning pumpkin. Little does she know her primo gourd-growth is the reason her back yard was chosen by the alien Loom as the landing site for the Kemii Advance Team... or that what she thinks as her prize-winning pumpkin is actually Alien HQ.

Laura is a happy homemaker with a college degree in Botany - but beyond her garden and her family she has a large ambition: to compete some day on the popular weekly TV game show Who Knows What with her large (and growing) expertise in a) Koalas and b) Australian Rules Football. Her family quizzes her on these two subjects to help keep her sharp and competitive.

She is voiced by Lindsay Sheppard.

Pixel Sillicon

Chubby 11-year-old Pixel Sillicon loves aliens. His father is a dedicated UFOlogist, which accounts for Pixel's interest, but not for the depth of his ardor. Pixel believes he was abducted by aliens and he sincerely hopes to be abducted again one day - so he leaves his bedroom window open at night and has an arrow of lights on the roof pointing to his room.

Pixel's easy credulity makes him a less-than-perfect ally for Max's campaign to convince the townspeople. He's loyal to his good friend Max, not least because Max actually lives with two aliens. Despite his admiration of Max and acknowledgment of Max as the anti-invasion Team Leader, Pixel is romantically attracted to Teresa, and believes he and she could rule earth between them as benevolent King and Queen.

Dylan Jones provides his voice.

Simon Sillicon

Pixel's father, Simon Sillicon, abandoned his foundational computer work (which resulted in a famous Valley in California being named after him) to devote his genius to discovering the aliens he has been convinced have been walking among us for 30 years.

The real scientific community shunned Simon years ago, so for three decades Simon has worked, inventing hitech gleaming gadgets and computer programs to fight the alien onslaught he's certain is coming. Simon is so tech-focused, so intent upon his devices and computer algorithms, the issue of being bossed-around by two kids doesn't come up. He's glad to be of service in any plan that Max or Violet contrive.

He is voiced by Matt Ban.

Violet Violet

Violet Violet is a smart, strong-willed, trend-bucking 11-year-old girl with a BIG fashion sense and a blog describing how she'd like to improve the world - its music, aesthetics, and especially its rigid, closed-minded people; like the teachers who won't let her wear a swan hat to class.

She wears violet clothing, dyes her hair violet, and is looking for a violet pet. To her, the color represents the repudiation of conformity. Her being strong-willed is a problem, because Max is strong-willed too. These two, competitors in school and now in saving the planet, seldom see eye-to-eye. Each one wants to run their alien-busting outfit and each chafes at anything sounding like "orders" coming from the other.

She is voiced by Stephanie Pam Roberts.
